This last year has been another great adventure for us. As usual we have changed our phone number, moved around, had plenty of cavities, and have another baby on the way.
Little miss no name is due the very end of February. She is the most active baby I have ever encountered. I have never had to do kick counts with this one. I feel like I am one big bruise inside. The last month always seems to go by in slow motion, but I can not believe it's only February 3! I think she just might come out as a baby ninja or at least a great playmate for active little Eliza-Jane!
Eliza is all personality. She is a spit fire for sure. She and Hazel have been good for each other :). The other day she came running up to me with a diaper saying, "Come on, come on Mommy change me! I can't do it myself you know!" She is starting recognize all the code names we have given her because she does not like to be talked about if she does not know what we are talking about. She recognizes her name spelled out, little E, little bear, number 4, even the classics "you know who..."
She is growing up so fast and just wants to be a part of everything the other kids do.
Hazel has become an incredible diplomat, thanks to number 4. She has learned to approach people, especially her little sister, very carefully. When she wants a toy, or anything Eliza has she never grabs, or takes, she brings an offering and becomes the cutest little friend ever. You might hear something like this, " Hi Eliza, look at this cutie one, its green, your favorite color! Look it is so cute, you can have, it really loves you!" and it often works, once Eliza is hooked on the new toy, Hazel says, "Now can I hold this old one?" And they play together happily....for a while:). Hazel also loves to draw. She told me this morning while drawing that she can now draw pointy hearts and not lumpy lump roundish hearts.
Miriam is our little comic relief these days. We were having an FHE lesson about honoring you parents, and listening to Mommy and Daddy. At the end of the lesson Jared asked how they could honor their parents and Miriam stood up and did an extremely deep bow and said " thank you, thank you thank you!" Bowing repeatedly and backing away. She has also created wormville, a fun land she draws and writes about, where worms live and ride bikes and drink slushies. All the kids love to hear her stories about wormville. She is a great example to her little sisters, and she is an incredible tease.
Jacob is enjoying Miriam's humor and they love to play together, a which is new. Jacob has also discovered the fun world of teasing. He confessed to me the other day that he didn't want to be mean auto the girls, but they were so fun to tease he just could've help himself. He is fascinated with electricity, so jared thought it would be fun if they read an electricity book together and he got Electronic for Dummies. Jacob was excited to read it, but he paused and questioned jared, "Dad, what is a dummy?" With a look on his face like, why are we reading this book.:)
