Everyone loves reading scriptures with Daddy in the morning. Miriam's favorites are the parables and Jesus in Gethsemane. She will sit and ask for Jesus in Gethsemane over and over again. We love her sweet spirit. Today everyone but Miriam has been sick with the tummy flu, she has spent her time trying to make them all happy. She even offered Hazel "Purple Dolly" I think her heart grew ten times today! I love my Miri-deary.

bright idea

With yesterdays impending blizzard Jacob ran around preparing everything. Warm blankets, candles, etc. At lunch he stopped and asked me if the power went out if the light bulbs would go bad, they won't work I replied. He then suggested we could keep them good by putting them in the refrigerator. Pretty good suggestion if you ask me :)

"I really need a harp"

Jacob confided to us today he really needed a harp because he has a new job. Jared and I were curious as to what his new job would be. He went on to tell us when he has his harp his job will be to sing to eliza-jane :)

"That really hurt my feelings"

One night as we were putting the children to bed Hazel was being very non-cooperative, this happens occasionally, and Jared attempted to wrestle her down. She accidentally bumped her head against the bedroom wall. This house is very unforgiving if you bump your head on one of the outer walls, as they are pure cinder block. Hazel had a dazed look on her face as she told daddy, "That really hurt my feelings" Bless her little heart, and head.

We had a kind friend give us some costumes, the kids have had so much fun dressing up!

The Largest Leaf Contest

We have been loving the autumn leaves. The kids are always looking for the most rainbow leaf, and the largest leaf. We love Fall!

Balloons and Lollies

The "party store", Zurchers is within walking distance of our house. They give free helium balloons to children, needless to say it is a favorite with the kids. Hazels green balloon floated away, and Jacob quickly came to her aid and gave her his red one. It was sweet of him, but then he turned around (literally) and popped it on accident with his stick. It was a sad end to 2 balloons!
