Here comes summer!

We were so excited the other week when we got to see the eclipse.  We were visiting the temple and just happened to be there at the right time.  A kind family let us look through their X- rays and capture the image...it was fun.

I found my Mama!

I woke up to Eliza-Jane whimpering the other night, so I went to check on her. When she saw me she smiled the big smile and said,"Ahhh, I found my Mama!" It was really a sweet midnight moment :)

Jacob's Ecosystem

We have been talking about ecosystems and one day Jacob just sat down and created an ecosystem for his "land."  He loves imagining what he would create on his planet if he could.  You should hear him explain it in detail.  He will tell you all about how the animals hide from preditors, get food, and where their habitat is.  The plants come in two rows, sea plants and animal plants.  I thought it was really fun.  There is even a map of the world to show where the animals live.

Strawberries WILD!

Hazel is very keen on strawberries, but she really loves them dipped in sugar, or whipped cream.   We have been working with her to enjoy them naturally.  She tried to eat them holding the green part, just like Uncle McKay:), She was so proud as she looked around the table and declared, "I ate the WHOLE strawberry, even the GREEN part"

LOVE THAT LITTLE GIRL!

Provo City Center Temple Dedication

Jacob meets Elder Holland, see video below
It was an early crisp morning for us!  In our seats at 8:00, waiting till 9:00 for the ceremony to start...
This wait made stake conference seem short :)  I should have brought more snacks...
We were so far back we couldn't see the shovels, that is what they really wanted to see!
Miriam's comment was, "Mom, you tricked me! you said this would be fun."
The girls enjoyed the grass more than the ceremony.
 But it was still historic...
And the hot air distraction, I mean balloon was fun, and Eliza screamed the whole time, "Balloon is hiding!!!"
If you look really closely you can see Elder Holland!
By the time it was "shovel time," the girls had had it.  Mommy took them to the car and Jacob and Daddy went to turn the shovels, they got to dig it about 10 times.  It was fun.

Then For the sweet surprize...
