Well the adventure has begun. It has not been perfect, but it has been fun. We are trying to find the balance between almost 7 years old and just turned 2 years old, and a few spots in between. The kids love pretending I am their "real teacher", They say goodbye to me in the morning and give me a welcome home hug at lunch time. We also have grandma nearby to come a be our classroom helper. Daddy is the science teacher, and he visits via Skype through out the day.
This week we have been learning all about apples. We discovered from our taste test that the kids all like golden delicious apples best, except Hazel who favored the Pink Cripps (very tart). We also learned the average person eats 65 apples each year, and that the apple is a member of the rose family. Jacob thought we should graft an apple branch onto a rose bush and see what would happen, maybe a thorny apple? or a juicy rose?
